Remember to follow your dreams

Life on Earth has evolved greatly over time. We live in a world in which simplicity through technology is preferred.  Even though a life with technology can be useful, it seems that we have forgotten what humans are capable of. The ability to dream is one of the main features that make humans special. Through dreams and human inventiveness, we have achieved great things.

Unfortunately, we live in a standardized world full of limitations. For example, privileges such as education depend primarily on money and not on the desire to learn. In a world that lacks for empathy and where success is achieved at all costs, dreaming becomes almost impossible. So, how can we make humanity remember the importance of dreams? How can we make humans believe that they are capable of achieving dreams despite of all limitations?

Poetry can be used as a tool to help individuals remember what they are capable of.  Follow your dreams by Amanda Bradley is a living example of how imagination and arts can work as a motivational method.  The tone and the poem itself are truly motivational.   It is short, but powerful. Bradley recognizes the importance of following dreams but also the existence of limitations and obstacles that may be encountered in the process. The author is inviting the reader to pursue their dreams despite all difficulties.  By accomplishing your dreams you will have new expectations, new goals. Dreams are the clue to success.

Dawn Jensen also wants to serve as inspiration and motivation for those who have lost the track.  Her poem “Remember” outstands how life can be difficult but how also by overcoming these difficulties you become a better person.  The author reminds us that we are going to ask ourselves what is life really about, that life it is not simple, and that we are not going to understand all of it’s mysteries. The poem emphasizes the fact of life being short and how simple things make life special and exciting.  Just as Densen proposes in her poem, remember that you do not have to face life alone; you have the support of family, friends, and God.  The mixture of love and effort can make you overpass any difficulty.

It is really interesting how by dreaming and being creative you can make others believe in their selves.  Dreams are essential for the construction of a better world.  We have to keep dreaming.  The world needs to keep helping and fighting against the obstacles that prevent others from achieving their goals. A beautiful world it’s possible but only if you remember to follow your dreams.
